Beer In Sri Lanka

Three Coins!!!
Locally brewed beer in Sri Lanka is awesome flavor. Available as tinned and draught beer, I throughly relished the beers on the tap.

Three Coin turned out to suit my palate the best. Perfectly smooth, right blend and the correct temperature made it an ideal drink for me to sip in the humid weather at Beruwala as well as Colombo.

Our stay at Cinnamon chain of hotels became more exciting with various beers available on the tap.

The options of local beer on the tap included Lion, Irish Ale (dark) and Three Coins. Usually for vegetarians it is an issue what to snack on with the beer. Here are a few preparations I enjoyed with my beer in Sri Lanka.
This bar is located by the pool side with live music playing in the evening which makes it a happening place where all nationalities are enjoying their drinks, Sports on tv and laughter and cackle of the kids!

What to eat with beer for a vegetarian especially Indian Vegetarian is a big question every time. Rather than sticking to the regular potato wedges, french fries, peanuts I choose to try out something new and different.
I found veg dimsum goes very well with the beer. Whether you dip in the dip or just take a bite of it with the beer satisfies the palate.
Hummus with Pita bread is another food that goes very with the beer (canned or on the tap). The other dips conflicted with my taste buds but hummus and beer was pleasantly accepted by my palate and brain.
You will be surprised but pineapple with cheddar cheese adds to the balmy weather making it sexier. Maybe the combination with beer is heady and makes you love the sultry weather!
